Frequently asked questions

An eco-enzyme cleaner uses a plant-based solution made by fermentation as its active cleaning base. Ours is made from reused pineapple peels, sugar and water. Depending on the product, further ingredients are added: plant-based surfactants derived from sugar and coconut, natural essential oils and nature-identical preservatives.

Pineapple peels are often left over when pineapples are processed. We put them to further use and, through fermentation, turn them into the base for our cleaning products. That way something that would otherwise be left over becomes a useful raw material.

Enzymes help to split larger components of dirt into smaller pieces that come off more easily. Surfactants support the cleaning as well by lifting grease and dirt off the surface and dispersing them in the water. You will find the whole story on our Science page.

Our products are made especially for typical everyday dirt: grease, food residues, organic residues and unpleasant smells. How well it works in a particular case depends on the product, the surface, how long it is left to act and the type of stain.

For normal everyday dirt: yes, that is what they are made for. With very stubborn dirt it can help to leave the product to act briefly, to wipe again with a little effort or to use a product designed specifically for it.

Light dirt can often be wiped off straight away. With heavier residues, give the product a moment to work. What matters: please always follow the directions for use of the product in question.

According to our information, our fermented plant base has biological activity and is the foundation of our products. The exact enzyme activity can vary depending on the product, batch, storage and test method.

Our All-Purpose Enzyme Cleaner is made for smooth surfaces that can be wiped with a damp cloth, for example many kitchen and household surfaces. For floors, textiles or baby items, it is best to use the product designed for each of them.

Yes, of course. But as the scents in our cleaners come exclusively from natural essential oils, they can leave a light film on glass and high-gloss surfaces.

Glass, stainless steel and many sealed surfaces are generally suitable. With delicate wood, unsealed natural stone, marble or special coatings, check the manufacturer's instructions first and test the product on an inconspicuous spot. Depending on the formula, essential oils can leave streaks on glass.

That depends on the product. Some products are ready to use, others can be diluted or put straight onto a damp sponge. Please check the dosage on the label.

With normal dirt you can usually wipe straight away. With stubborn residues, leave the product to act briefly, but please do not let it dry on the surface.

That depends on the product and where you use it. After cleaning, rinse surfaces that come into contact with food, dishes, baby items and textiles thoroughly with clean water, as described in the directions for use.

Yes, there are suitable formulas for that. For the best results, don't automatically reach for the All-Purpose Enzyme Cleaner, but for the product designed for floors, laundry or textiles.

Yes, the fermented base can tackle organic odours as well as typical food and grease residues. With old or deeply absorbed stains you may need to repeat the application, leave it to act longer or use a specialist product.

As a rule, please do not mix cleaning products unless this is expressly intended. Above all, keep away from mixtures with chlorine cleaners, acids or other products.

Yes, we have products made specifically for households with children, for example for toys and surfaces. Even so: gentle cleaning products also belong out of children's reach and should always be used as stated on the label.

Yes, if you use a product that is labelled for this. After cleaning, rinse items that go into the mouth and surfaces that come into contact with food thoroughly with clean water.

If you use a suitable product as intended, you can also use it in households with pets. Keep animals away while you clean where possible, let treated surfaces dry and avoid direct contact with eyes and mouth.

Our formulas are as gentle as possible. But if you have sensitive skin, we recommend gloves. Otherwise it depends on the product and your skin. The safety instructions on the label are always what counts.

After skin contact, wash off with plenty of soap and water. After eye contact, rinse carefully with water for several minutes, remove contact lenses if possible and continue rinsing. If the irritation persists, please get medical advice and have the label or safety data sheet to hand.

Our products are deliberately formulated to be gentle, but we cannot promise that they are free of allergens across the board. Natural essential oils, preservatives or certain surfactants can cause reactions in sensitive people. Allergens from the essential oils, for example limonene or linalool, are listed on the label and on the product page. If you are sensitive, please check the ingredient list first.

That differs from product to product. All of them contain eco-enzymes from fermented pineapple peels and the nature-identical preservatives sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate. Depending on the product, plant-based surfactants derived from sugar and coconut and natural essential oils are added. The list is on the label and on every product page under “Ingredients”, where you will also find all components in the datasheet.

We do not use synthetic fragrances. Our scented products get their scent from natural essential oils; the Baby Dish Soap and the Baby Toy Enzyme Cleaner contain no fragrance at all. As preservatives, all products contain sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate. Plant-based surfactants are in every product except the Baby Toy Enzyme Cleaner. You will find the exact list on the label and on the product page.

Our surfactants are plant-based, derived from sugar and coconut depending on the product. Plant-based surfactants are also technically processed and have to be labelled correctly.

Fermentation changes the original fruity smell. The finished scent comes from the natural essential oils in each formula. Some variants are deliberately rather subtle. The pure eco-enzymes on their own smell like vinegar.

We use pineapple peels as an agricultural leftover and rely on natural fermentation. There is also a refill system at the production site in Vietnam. This way raw materials can be reused, waste reduced and packaging used several times. Of course, the overall environmental impact also depends on the formula, packaging, transport and use.

Yes. The peels come from regional pineapple processing in Thanh Hóa, Vietnam. Through fermentation, a leftover becomes the base of our cleaning products.

Our eco-enzyme base and our products are made in Thanh Hóa, Vietnam.

By this we mean that fermentation takes place without active heating and without energy-intensive reactors. Instead, the process uses natural ambient conditions and the warmth of the sun.

Industrially isolated enzymes are often produced in controlled fermenters and then processed, concentrated and stabilised. These steps need energy. We, by contrast, use a naturally fermented whole solution without active process heat.

Yes, our formulas are designed to be biodegradable. We rely on biodegradable surfactants and selected ingredients that stand for good environmental compatibility.

Our manufacturer in Vietnam is certified to HACCP and ISO 9001:2015, is part of the OCOP programme and has received a Synergy Score of A as well as the Vegan Trademark. In addition, we are currently having our products tested to Ecocert for the European market.

Safety matters to us. Our eco-enzymes are tested for pesticide residues. For our BabyCare products, microbiological criteria are also checked, for example the total count of aerobic microorganisms, yeasts and moulds as well as relevant germs such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans.

Store the products tightly closed, dry and out of children's reach. Avoid strong heat, frost and direct, prolonged sunlight. You will also find the exact instructions on the label.

Enzymes react to temperature. Cold can slow their effect, very high temperatures can weaken it. Where water is recommended, lukewarm water is usually the gentler choice.

Plant raw materials and natural fermentation can differ slightly from batch to batch. Small deviations are therefore not automatically a quality defect, as long as appearance, smell and function are within our product specification.

It is best used within 6 months of opening. If it then looks normal, smells normal and has been stored correctly, you can usually keep using it. Please always follow the instructions on the label.

At our core is the combination of reused pineapple peels, natural fermentation and formulas made for everyday life. We want to offer cleaning that is effective, feels good and at the same time makes sensible use of raw materials.

That depends on the bottle size, dosage, how dirty things are and where you use it. The dosing instructions on each product are your best guide.

The All-Purpose Enzyme Cleaner is suitable for general surfaces that can be wiped with a damp cloth. For floors, laundry, dishes, baby items or pet areas, we recommend the product developed specifically for each of them.

Yes, in principle you can also use BabyCare products for other suitable areas of the home. They are formulated to be especially gentle. For some kinds of dirt or uses, however, our HomeCare products are the better choice because they are tailored more closely to them.

Absolutely, 100 %. Our partner in Vietnam has received the Vegan Society's Vegan Trademark.

We are not yet available in physical shops, but we are working on it. Our goal is for you to find FUWA in supermarkets, organic shops and drugstores soon.

Yes, perfectly. When camping in particular, you want products that clean reliably and are as environmentally friendly as possible at the same time. Our formulas are designed to be biodegradable and are therefore a really good fit for the outdoors, vanlife, campsites and camp kitchens. Please still make sure to always dispose of cleaning water responsibly and to follow the instructions on the label.

Yes, absolutely. We are planning further product lines for Europe, including cosmetics, pets and camping.
